Palawan is located approximately 80 minutes from Manila by aeroplane. There is an essence of spanish influence infused in both the cuisine and local architecture which stems from 18th century occupation.
First stop was Noa Noa island. Words can’t really do justice to what really is a paradise. 30 minutes speed boat from Tay Tay. American Expat and his Filipino wife took over the small island, and assisted in the restoration of both the 70-hectare tropical coral reef and land. The island is surrounded by the waters of Taytay Bay of the Sulu Sea.
With only 6 rooms on the island, seclusion is pretty much guaranteed. The coral reef here was once devastated by global warming (raising sea temperatures which bleached the vicinity)
